KAPUR SAAL WOOD

Heartwood is dark pink to reddish brown. Sapwood is well defined and yellowish brown in color. Grain is straight or slightly interlocked. Texture is coarse to even.

• MACHINING PROPERTIES: It’s easy to work with hand and machine tools.
• FINISHING: Finishing is moderately smooth. Polishing effect is moderate. Color can be applied.
•  DRYING & TREATMENT: Seasoning is moderately slow and air drying is suggested. Treatability is difficult.
• COMMON USES: Construction, structure for ceiling and partition walls, loft construction, moldings, railing.
• ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Timber has a very strong aroma of camphor while sawing. Shrinkage is high. Parallel and butt joints are not recommended.
