Black Sandstone is widely used for modern exteriors, front elevation bands, porch flooring, outdoor sitting areas, garden walkways, and staircase steps. The dark tone gives a sharp look with light-coloured walls, white pebbles, or green landscaping. A natural cleft or sandblasted finish is usually preferred for outdoor floors because it provides better grip, while a honed finish gives a smoother look for wall cladding.

For installation in open areas, proper slope and water drainage are important so water doesn’t sit on the surface. Regular sweeping keeps the stone clean; for washing, plain water and a soft brush are enough. If the location is likely to face oil stains (driveway, food zone, café outdoor area), applying a suitable sealant helps reduce marking and makes cleaning easier.
